The newest slam latches from Knapp Fasteners show no signs of appreciable wear after 50,000+ cycles of testing.

Slam latches are a spring-loaded devices, also referred to as “push-to-close” latches. These latches allow for a door or cabinet to be pushed or slammed closed with a secure hold.
Knapp’s latest slam latches are moulded in acetal copolymer with a stainless steel spring. They’ve been tested in over 50,000 cycles of slam and withdrawals, showing little if any wear.
These closures are ideal for narrow door pillars, sections, and channels, ensuring a secure closure.
