L-com Global Connectivity, North Andover, Mass., has released a new series of outdoor-rated, continuous flex Ethernet cable assemblies.
Designed for industrial or outdoor environments, these exclusive ultra flexible Category 5e and Category 6a patch cords are built to take a beating. The cables use an outdoor-rated flame-retardant thermoplastic elastomer (FR-TPE) jacket that is resistant to oil and UV damage while maintaining a CMX flame rating. Double shielding coupled with L-com’s shielded RJ45 connectors reduce EMI/RFI interference.
“These new industrial Ethernet cable assemblies bridge the gap between OSP applications and more traditional indoor industrial network installations,” said Dave Gallagher, Product Manager. “These new rugged cable assemblies are perfect for a range of applications such as oil and gas extraction and refinement, wastewater and mining network applications.”
The cables are available off the shelf in a range of lengths, from 1 to 50 ft. Custom length versions are available upon request.
