Anritsu has developed a comprehensive portfolio of test solutions for every stage of the 5G ecosystem. By levering its 4G leadership position, participation in 5G standards groups, and working with chipset, device, and mobile operators, Anritsu is addressing key issues associated with 5G, including cost-of-test, time-to-market and verifying key performance benchmarks.
Setting the Standard
Anritsu participated in meetings that led to the development of 3GPP Release 15, which outlined the initial non-standalone (NSA) 5G New Radio (NR) standard. Company representatives also contributed to the release of IEEE 1914.3, which defines the encapsulation and mapping of radio protocols for transport over Ethernet frames using Radio over Ethernet (RoE) – a key element of 5G fronthaul networks.
5G Test Solutions
Anritsu’s long history of cooperation with global chipset and device makers, as well as mobile operators has led to development of one of the industry’s broadest 5G test portfolios. The Anritsu product line includes:
- 5G NR RF Conformance Test Systems that are registered with GCF and PT- CRB, and fully support RF and protocol tests
- Signal analysis tools that support the 3GPP-specified 5G frequency bands, including sub-6 GHz and mmWave
- Innovative test systems that enable faster and more efficient protocol testing and RF measurement of leading-edge technologies for 5G NR
- Support for SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) testing of 5G devices, which is critical due to the imminent rollout of 5G NR technology by operators worldwide
