Introducing ASCO™ Series 273 Pneumatic Pinch Valve
The ASCO™ Series 273 is a 2-way pneumatically actuated pinch valve specifically designed for single-use applications in the Life Sciences and Food & Beverage markets. Available in stainless steel or Aluminum (UCoat) Body, its innovative “pinch” design provides better tube retention, and easy installation and removal of tubing without damaging the tube. The manual override allows for insertion and removal of manifold tubing without having to actuate the valve. The Series 273 pinch valve ensures operator safety with added safety guard that covers the pinching mechanism while in operation. ASCO™ Series 273 pneumatic pinch valve is ideal for single-use applications in life sciences like bioreactors, tangential flow filter (TFF) skids, and chromatography skids.
ASCO™ 580 CHARM Communication Solution
Integrate valve manifolds into a DeltaVTM distributed control system (DCS) with Electronic Marshalling utilizing the new ASCO 580 CHARM node. It significantly simplifies commissioning, and empowers the full, native diagnostic capabilities of DeltaV. The approach requires only one network connection to connect an Electronic Marshalling Cabinet, which includes I/O and a pilot valve manifold, back to the DeltaV system. This single field connection carries control signals for both I/O and the solenoid pilot valve manifold. The pilot valve manifold is connected to the CHARM baseplate via two redundant cables that carry the power and control signals. Results: significant reductions in network and programming interfaces, network gateways, wiring, and junction boxes with increased reliability and diagnostics. No dedicated secondary networks are necessary. With a 580 CHARM node, the valve manifold is electronically marshalled to any controller in the system. Any I/O is available to any controller via one network. Users gain safe, reliable, and redundant control of pneumatic signals. And they can achieve process efficiency without painful delays in response times.
High Flow Air-Operated Piston Valves
The ASCO™ 290 piston valves for fluid control is a rugged, high-flow, on/off valve providing up to 60% higher flow than competing designs, capable of handling back pressure and up to 5 times longer life than conventional ball valves. With its extensive industry reach, the 290 is equipped to handle a wide range of environments, media viscosities and temperatures. The valve is offered in a 2-way on/off or proportional function for a more precise control. For cleaner environments such as Food and Beverage the 290 FB meets the FDA CFR21 & (EC) 1935-2004 certifications, making it an ideal choice for CIP or tank / vessel systems. Additionally, a 6-port design is available for tank / vessel temperature regulation where a single valve can control both hot and cold media.
High-Pressure Washdown Pneumatic Valves
The AVENTICS™ CL03 Clean Line pneumatic directional control valves are rated IP-69K for high-pressure wash down. The valves feature a hygienic design, and the ability to withstand aggressive detergents and chemicals. The CL03 is available in the standard manifold version, a higher flow version CL03-XL manifold, and in a single subbase version CL03-EV. Factory-assembled and tested manifolds can be up to 16 stations/32 solenoids in either discrete multi-pin or direct fieldbus connection, and can be configured easily online. By not requiring a protective cabinet, the valves offer reduced installation cost, and can be located closer to actuators, allowing the machine to function faster.
