Our product lines include brushless DC servo motors, brushless motors, coreless motors, frameless motors and linear ultrasonic piezo motors as well as optional equipment such as gears and encoders. In addition, our simulation technologies enable us to offer actuator units and other essential parts to meet the needs of a wide range of customers.

Energy-efficient small motors have the advantage of consuming little power, which makes them the popular choice of industries worldwide. By offering the unique ability to customize our products, we remain committed to meeting customer needs.

Brushless DC Servo Motors: Achieves Best-in-Class torque and compactness BLDC, compared with other Canon motors. Applications include Gantry Robots, SCARA Robots, and Surgical Robots etc.

Frameless Motors: Canon’s frameless motors are lightweight and highperformance in compact size. These built-in type frameless motors enable space-saving installation and flexibility in mechanical design. Size, voltage, speed, shaft type and rotor type can be customized based on a customer’s request.

Linear Ultrasonic Piezo Motors: Canon’s linear ultrasonic piezo motors are compact, quiet and accurate for linear positioning applications. Canon has been using this technology for driving focus lens in camera products. Applications include Medical, Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Optical devices.

Precision Designs “MOVE”

Our compact DC motors, developed in 1962, for use in Canon 8-mm movie cameras, have been further refined for use in audiovisual devices, single-lens reflex cameras, office equipment, and other applications. The scope of application for these motors has continued to expand, and they can now be found in product categories subject to high demand, including camera lenses, laser printers, large format printers, industrial machinery, analysis equipment, cash machines and medical devices.

Today, Canon USA uses that advanced technology to propose customized solutions to meet all kinds of customer needs. Our flexibility in design, allows us to work closely with each customer to provide the exact solution required, be it simple or complex.
