RelChip was first formed as a research and development group in 2003, and was spun out to provide “Ruggedized- Extreme COTS micro-electronics” that can withstand the harshest of environments, -55C to 300C degrees; the highest rated in the world, verified by SANDIA Labs. With over 13 years of R&D in this field and industry, we were challenged to develop integrated circuit technology that operates at 300 degrees Centigrade (572 degrees Fahrenheit) as a fabless semiconductor effort. Included in this effort are all peripheral technologies required, including packaging, test equipment, sockets, etc. RelChip has succeeded in achieving the goal and is now the world leader in the highest rated operating microelectronics throughout the industry at a price to beat the competition.
Successful products, projects, and service include analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuits for networking in aerospace
systems, automotive, utilities, and oil wells while drilling (Measurement While Drilling or MWD), geothermal logging, and Turbine Engine Networking. Our focus is the commercialization of extreme environment components. Extreme environments are from -55 degrees Centigrade (C) to 300C, extreme shock and vibration, and the MIL STD 883 specifications, extended over the larger temperature range. This technology is an enabling technology that provides high performance, extreme microelectronics, that improves system weight factors by an average of 500lbs up to 1500lbs, eliminating the need for AC’s, and mechanical devices. This dramatically improves system performance while lowering costs with extended life/ durability up to 10years*.
