Stäubli has, for decades, been well established in developing robotics solutions for life science applications, including the manufacturing of medical devices. Its high precision robots, which include a variety of FAST picker, SCARA and 6-axis robotic arms, as well as a line of cleanroom robots, have set the benchmarks for hygiene, safety and productivity for all environmental conditions.

The minimum backlash and unmatched stiffness of Stäubli’s robotic arms enable extreme repeatability. This translates into higher speeds, shorter cycle times, and more productivity for medical device applications. The industry-leading positioning capabilities are a result of Stäubli’s patented gearboxes.

Whether it be deburring and polishing the surfaces of orthopedic implants or assembling and handling medical devices such as blood pressure monitors, inhalers, pacers and IV bags, Stäubli has established itself as a leading partner for the automation of medical devices.

Stäubli also created the groundbreaking Stericlean series of robots, which in 2008 became the world’s fi rst robot designed to operate in aseptic production areas (Advanced Aseptic Processing). With Stericlean, Stäubli succeeded in automating processes in the medical and pharmaceutical industries that had previously been considered off limits to robots.

Medical device manufacturers expect their automation partner to have interdisciplinary expertise. Founded in 1892 in Switzerland, Stäubli has long prided itself in doing just that, combining expertise in the regulatory environment with scientifi c understanding and technical prowess, resulting in pioneering robotic solutions for medical device manufacturing.

Stäubli offers the broadest range of solutions for all medical applications including medical device assembly, machining, coating and inspection. From standard ISO 7 up to ISO 2, Stäubli product range is capable of addressing your needs. These robots not only impress by virtue of their cleanroom compatibility but also in terms of safety, quality, precision and productivity.

Stäubli Robotics is a leading global player in robotics, consistently delivering engineering as effective and reliable as our service and support. In order to position itself as a complete solution provider for digitally networked production, Stäubli offers a broad range of standard kinematics of 4-axis and 6-axis robotic arms for all kind of sensitive environments, autonomous mobile robotics, driverless transport systems (AGVs) as well as POWER cobots for human-robot collaboration.
