For over 20 years, TLX Technologies has been developing high-quality electromagnetic solutions that optimize the capabilities of new and existing systems.
Many industries are looking for solutions that will minimize the power consumption of their products. TLX Technologies recognized that latching solenoid technology would provide the energy-efficient solution that many OEMs were looking for.
Latching solenoids are ideal for applications where high cycle rates are not needed. This is because these solenoids require only a short pulse of power to actuate, and no power is drawn to maintain a commanded state. Additionally, they do not produce the excessive heat often associated with conventional solenoids.
TLX has applied latching solenoid technology to develop the discrete proportional valve system (DPV)—an energy-efficient alternative to conventional proportional control valves.
The DPV draws very little power, achieves zero hysteresis, and is capable of a true zeroflow state if required by the application. Always on the cutting edge of innovation, TLX Technologies’ products are up to 25% smaller than competing designs, minimize overall power consumption, and can withstand harsh environments (as required by the application).
Thanks to critical capabilities such as 3D CAD design, in-house testing, and electromagnetic and fluid dynamic analysis, TLX Technologies seamlessly partners with design teams to develop solutions built to meet their specific needs.
Custom Electromagnetic Solutions
TLX Technologies is leading the charge in designing and manufacturing custom electromagnetic solutions. We use proportional, high-speed, high-temperature, and latching technologies to custom design solenoids, actuators, and valves. We can also integrate smart functionality into our products to provide data collection, diagnostics, and IoT communication at the component level.
With over 150 years of combined electromagnetic design experience and multiple patents, TLX is a leading innovator in a variety of industries such as fire protection, automotive, off-highway, powersports, and industrial.
