The Lean Managed Switch (LMS), a compact, powerful, and economical managed Ethernet switch leverages the key managed functions of a managed switch with the cost of an unmanaged switch.
It supports Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP), Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) Snooping, and easy Web-Based Management capability. These features make it easy to add network configuration capability, remote monitoring and diagnostics, and integral IT-compatible network redundancy. A version is available for use in EtherNet/IP applications, where Multicast traffic is a concern.
The LMS comes with default-enabled IGMP Snooping and IGMP Query functions to filter out unnecessary messages and prevent overloading the control device.
The switch is available in versions offering 8TX, 4TX/2FX (multimode fiber), and 4TX/2FX (single-mode fiber). Other features include redundant power connection, port mirroring, and configurable alarm contacts for power supply and link monitoring. It operates in an extended temperature range of -40 to 70°C.
