MERLIN, OR—Linx Technologies, Inc. announces its acquisition of Apex Wireless, Inc. in a transaction with undisclosed terms. Based in Boulder, Colorado, Apex Wireless has provided RF product development, contract design, and wireless consulting services since 1985. Apex specializes in high performance, cost-optimized wireless products employing RF transmitters, receivers, and transceivers, including frequency hopping and direct sequence radios.

Linx-Apex-Acquisition

“This transaction is an ideal fit for Linx,” commented Paul True, Linx President and CEO. “Our goal is to provide products and services that allow customers to focus on their strengths and product vision rather than the complexities of the wireless design process. Apex’s long history and expertise in RF design, coupled with the skilled engineering resources of the Denver/Boulder area, will enhance Linx’s ability to serve our customers and meet competitive challenges.”

Mark Matlin, Apex Wireless CEO, added: “This acquisition will allow Apex the resources of a larger organization and will provide our customers with the long-term stability provided by an industry leader in the wireless solutions field. In addition, Linx will add cost-effective manufacturing capacity and extensive electronic distribution to our capabilities.”

Apex Wireless will retain its name and continue operations in Colorado as a business unit of Linx.
