Dunkermotoren GmbH of Bonndorf, Germany has introduced a high power, low voltage brushless DC controller to complete its BLDC motor offering for battery operated applications.
The BGE30100, a single quadrant digital speed drive with an input supply voltage range of 8-30V DC, a continuous output current capacity of 60A and a peak current output of 100A for up to 2 seconds, is the perfect match for Dunkermotoren’s new low voltage BG75 brushless DC motors. The motor/external drive combination boasts 500 Watts of continuous power, and up to 1KW of peak power.
The BGE30100 Start/Stop, Direction, and Speed1/Speed2 commands can either be triggered by digital inputs or preselected by dip-switches. Speed control is given by, an analog 0-10V, 0-20mA, or a PWM signal, while status of the controller are reported on its digital outputs. Parameters and configuration can conveniently be changed via a USB interface.
The controller’s rugged and compact contruction is suitable for harsh environment applications such as in trucks, buses, road-rail and off-road vehicles, boats and AVGs, and can easily be used in hydraulic to electric conversion projects.
