Time Warner Cable announced this morning that Alan Lui was promoted to senior vice president of human resources.
Effective today, Lui now leads all aspects of the cable operator’s human resources department. He continues to report to Peter Stern, Time Warner Cable’s executive vice president and chief strategy, people and corporate development officer.
“Alan is a strong and effective leader with a proven record of developing and executing successful business strategies,” said Stern. “His leadership qualities will help us establish a performance-driven culture that puts the customer first and strengthen a workforce dedicated to inventing and delivering technologies that improve the lives of people and businesses.”
Prior to his promotion, Lui was senior vice president of human resource centers of expertise for Time Warner Cable. In that role, he oversaw talent acquisition, human resources operations and benefits, learning and development, as well as diversity and inclusion.
Lui joined Time Warner Cable in 2011 as group vice president of video strategy. Prior to joining Time Warner Cable, Lui co-founded Nove Technologies, a startup focused on applying high-temperature superconductor technology to electric power distribution
Lui holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
