Luso Electronics Distribution has announced its has become the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for the Veetronix range of switches and keycaps. Based in Nebraska, Veetronix is a manufacturer of highly reliable keyboard and panel-mount switches for various markets, including video and audio mixing-desk equipment and in numerous military and government applications.
The agreement is the fourth distribution agreement for Luso Electronics Distribution, since its establishment in May 2011 as a division of Luso Electronics. Luso works with a limited number of complementary franchises for which the company provides expert technical and commercial support.
“These products are an excellent addition to our portfolio”, said David Zelkha, managing director of Luso Electronics, “The highly reliable devices from Veetronix feature a unique design that offers magnetically-sealed contact actuation and will find fast take-up in multiple applications, and in video/audio markets in particular.”

The unique hermetically sealed design of the Veetronix switches and keycaps ensures no moving parts touch the contacts, preventing air, dust, moisture or gases from contaminating the switch and therefore ensuring reliability. Sample kits are now available from Luso.
Other recent franchises announced by Luso in 2011 include: an exclusive UK and Ireland agreement to distribute SynQor’s DC/DC and AC/DC power supplies; a European distribution agreement with Elec & Eltek for magnetic components, including transformers, noise filters and common-mode chokes; and an agreement for the distribution of N2Power’s range of ultra-small high-efficiency AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies in UK and Ireland.
