Globalization has spread fab equipment manufacturers and suppliers further away from their clients, making it challenging to manage difficulties if machine problems occur. Traditional VPNs may offer remote management, but they don‚’t satisfy the demands of engineers on-the-move, as well as the need for collaboration between development partners, engineers, and multiple suppliers.
secureWISE from ILS Technology enables collaboration between remote endpoints through its eCentre software and ServiceNET hardware, which is a proprietary network architecture that provides a controlled VPN connection between one site and many others and lets users at multiple sites concurrently access a tool. A site no longer has to have multiple VPN devices. When a remote user client initiates a connection to the eCentre server, a virtual VPN is created through the ServiceNet hub, which secures the connection between the client and the server and links all constituents. The eCentre server lets factory owners set permissions and policies, then identify user groups and roles so that only select constituents can access and transfer files, operate equipment remotely, and collaborate (chat) in real-time.
The state of a factory and the state of any specific machine is also dynamic. Based upon the state of the tool, certain users may be blocked from gaining access to it. What‚’s more, it provides audits for traceability or change management.
