A new 3D simulation product from NUM Corporation combines work piece simulation with collision monitoring. The software generates new generations of optimization tools with their machines. Called True 3D, the product is a general-purpose version of the company’s 3D simulator for multi-axis grinding applications.
The software helps you virtually prototype and optimize the machine production process. True 3D targets tool grinding, gear manufacturing, woodworking, high-speed cutting, and transfer and special-purpose machinery. It complements a range of computer numerical controlled (CNC) building blocks. These include advanced CNC kernels, industrial PC front ends with soft-programmable logic controller (PLC) functionality, man machine interfaces (MMI) panels, I/O modules, drives, and a choice of servo and spindle motors.
