Medical-Certified 90-110 Watt External Power Supplies from TDK-Lambda

By Patrick Curran | October 4, 2011

Share

TDK-Lambda Americas has released a new range of Medical-Certified AC-DC external power supplies with output power ratings from 90 to 110 watts. These supplies are EISA and CEC Efficiency Level V compliant. The DTM110-C series operate with a universal AC input of 90 to 264Vac (47-63Hz) and include PFC. Typical operating efficiencies are greater than 85%. Available output voltages include 12V, 13.5V, 15V, 19V and 24V.

These external power supplies are packaged in low profile and insulated enclosures that measure 2.55” wide by 6.7” long by 1.51” high and are convection cooled (no fans needed). The operating temperature range is 0 to +40°C at full load with no deratings required. All models are fully isolated (4kVac input to output, per medical safety specifi-cations) and are California Energy Commission (CEC), Energy Independence Act of 2007 (EISA) and Global Efficiency Level V compliant.

These highly efficient supplies include overvoltage and short-circuit protections. Plus, the Off/No-Load standby-power-consumption is less than 0.50 watt, as required by the latest green energy initiatives, such as the ErP (Energy-related Products Directive, 2009/125/EC). In addition, these supplies are certified to UL/EN/IEC60601-1 international medical safety standards and meet EN55022 and FCC Part 18 Class B conducted and radiated EMI standards.

Additional features include a recessed IEC320 C14 AC input receptacle, a 3.4 foot output cable with molded 4-pin connector, and an LED power indicator. Other output cable lengths and connector types can be special ordered. These 90-110W supplies are ideal for powering portable medical equipment.

The DTM110-C series are available now and priced from $59.00 each in 500 piece lots. For more information call
