Metallized Carbon Corporation offers its Metcar grade M-11 bearing material. Metcar Grade M-11 is a plain, unimpregnated, carbon-graphite material that has good self-lubricating qualities and good wear resistance when running dry at temperatures up to 650‚°F. It is an economical grade that is suitable for bearings that must run continuously at relatively light load and low speed. Metcar Grade M-11 is extensively used for bearings in equipment such as high temperature air dampers, continuous veneer board dryers, and high temperature conveyors.
Metcar Grade M-11 is available in all the Metallized Carbon Corp., standard sleeve bearing, standard flange bearing, and standard thrust bearing sizes. It is also available in all of the standard, self-aligning pillow block and self-aligning flange block assemblies offered by Metallized Carbon Corp. Bearings in the grade can also be manufactured to meet your size specifications.
Bearings manufactured from Metcar materials are self-lubricating, non-galling, dimensionally stable and have high compressive strength. Boasting excellent lubricating qualities and long life, these materials are completely homogenous and provide continuous lubrication for their service life, making them an excellent candidate for bearings, bearing assemblies, and mechanical components that must operate in environments where oil/grease lubrication cannot be used.
