METCASE TECHNOMET SL front panel at 18° incline for optimal viewing

METCASE has launched a new sloping front version of its advanced TECHNOMET desktop instrument enclosures. TECHOMET SL is designed for applications including medical and laboratory instruments, test and measurement, industrial control and communications.

TECHNOMET aluminum enclosures are engineered to fine tolerances. Diecast metal front and rear bezels fit flush in the case body – the new SL model’s front bezel is inclined at 18° for a suitable viewing angle of the controls, displays etc. Extruded snap-on trims at front and rear cover all the front panel and case fixing screws. The rear panel screws are not covered for easier access.

TECHNOMET SL offers swift access to the PCBs. Its wraparound top cover slides over the chassis and is located on hook-profiled rails on the underside. A single PCB can be installed on four pre-fitted M3 pillars in the base – or multiple PCBs can slide in on clip-in anti-vibration guides (accessories).

The front and rear panels are recessed to protect switches, connectors, displays and keypads. The rear panel and base are vented as standard. Alternative options (including non-vented panels) are available on request. All case panels are fitted with M4 earth studs for electrical continuity.

TECHNOMET SL is available in three standard sizes: 3.93” x 8.85” x 9.05”, 4.92” x 10.82” x 11.22” and 5.90” x 13.77” x 12.59” (which features side grip handles as standard). Custom sizes are available on request.

The enclosures come in light grey (RAL 7035) or anthracite grey (RAL 7016) as standard and are supplied fully assembled including four modern anti-skid feet with tilt legs (which can more increase the viewing angle). Prices start at $137.

Accessories include front panels and snap-in PCB guides. Customizing options include: bespoke sizes; custom front panels; CNC machining, fixings and inserts; custom colors and finishes; digital printing of legends and logos.
