Medical devices and instruments often require solid seals to keep liquids in or out. It is nice when you can find them in metric versions. The ME001 Series line of miniature test connectors for medical device leak testing applications is now available in metric thread options for secure sealing of ultra-thin hypodermic and catheter tubing.
Capable of sealing outside diameters (OD) down to 0.38 mm (0.015 in.), the connector suits leak testing applications in infusion set and drug delivery devices. The compact connector has a 21.3 mm OD (0.84 in.) to mount in locations with limited space, and its pneumatic actuation enables soft touch control of delicate components.
Complementing the ME001 Series, the ME01 and ML001 connectors have an operational pressure range from vacuum to 500 psi, with a sealing capacity up to 12.95 mm OD (0.510 in.). Additional features include aluminum or stainless steel housings, FDA approved seals and lubricant, and replaceable size and seal materials. Plus, the connectors are chemically cleaned and double bagged for added protection.
