The latest range of linear positioning actuators from MiniTec UK Limited (www.minitec.co.uk) delivers up to 1400 mm of travel and is completely compatible with its ProfileSystem range of machine building and framing components.
Driven by precision ballscrew, the Linearmodul LMS is housed in a 90 mm x 90 mm extruded aluminum profile that comes with standard T-slots on 45 mm centers. Its modular design features a stainless steel barrier strip as well as cover arrangement that effectively protects the actuator’s internal moving parts. Its lateral slots offer a fixing point for limit switches and datum sensors.
Standard features include lubricated-for-life dual linear rail ball bearings and carriages, which support loads in all directions for a maximum speed of 1.6 meters per second.
The LMS is aimed at applications requiring durability, accuracy and minimum installation space and is ideally suited for pick and place, large area gantry and robotic handling systems.
Ballscrew pitch option include 4 mm, 5 mm and 10 mm variants, while its T7 accuracy grade option comes with a preloaded nut system for 0.04 mm axial play as well as repeatability of up to 52 microns per 300 mm.
In addition, customers can also use dual heavy-duty recirculating linear rail guides with four carriages to replace the linear positioning actuator’s standard bearing system. Its 10 mm drive spigot can be fitted with adapter plates and flexible couplings for stepper or servo motors and a pulley for belt drives.
Characterized by an innovative Powerlock fastening system, Minitec’s ProfileSystem range of machine building and framing components include both formed stainless steel and extruded aluminum profiles. It also includes various ancillary components such as wheels, panels, hinges, sensors and process control parts that are combined with motion control and automation components.
