Misumi USA announces the launch of its new Factory Automation e-commerce Website, effective August 3, 2009. The new landing page incorporates a host of user-focused enhancements designed to provide customers with a more convenient, intuitive and satisfying product search and ordering experience.

The new website URL is: http://www.misumi-ec.com/eusaen/mech/ (Note: this URL will NOT be activated until 4:00AM CST on August 3rd.)

“The new e-commerce website design reflects our philosophy of continually striving to improve our customers’ experience. We have always listened to our customers in designing innovative products to meet their needs”, states Mr. Masanori Suzuki, President of Misumi USA. “And, although many customers have paid us compliments on our product configurator and web ordering system, we wanted to make it even better. We believe this new website will save them valuable time and make it easier than ever to do business with Misumi.”

Following is a summary of the new website’s enhanced features:

  • A crisp, clean visual presentation, with easy-to-find information and clear graphics, allows users to navigate the site quickly to find what they are looking for – whether it’s to request a quote, order products, track a shipment, seek product or technical data, or learn more about Misumi’s unique business model, recent news and events.
  • Powerful new search engine technology helps users locate and configure specific products and enter their orders, complete with all specifications. As before, the e-Catalog contains many thousands of mechanical components related to Factory Automation. Simplified search and a convenient shopping cart make entering orders faster and easier than ever before.
  • “My Page” web page customization capabilities allow Misumi customers to customize a personal page with such items as: My Components List, Product Bookmarks and Order & Quote History, to name a few. My Page assists the user by providing a reference area that allows them to quickly proceed to the e-Catalog sections most relevant to their needs.

Important Customer Information
Due to this website upgrade, the Automation Components Catalog, CAD Configurator and Web Ordering System Functions will be unavailable starting at 8:00PM CST on Saturday, August 1, 2009 until 4:00AM CST on Monday, August 3, 2009.

The current MISUMI USA URL, www.misumiusa.com and Misumi URL’s NOT ending in .aspx, will be redirected to the new website top page. Any bookmarks/favorites you have that begin with www.Misumiusa.com and end in .aspx will continue to be valid and will be redirected as the content is moved to the new web site.

Any bookmarks/favorites you have that begin with www.FA.Misumiusa.com will be redirected to the new website top page. Therefore, any product or search specific bookmarks will no longer be valid on August 3rd.

Once the website goes live, you can use your current Login ID to access the Web Ordering System, Product Configurator, download CAD files and customize the “My Page” feature.

Misumi’s CAD configurator, e-Catalog and web ordering system have long been at the heart of our unique business model. You, our customers, have come to rely on these resources, where complete information on pricing, materials, configuration options, and delivery times are quickly and easily accessible.
