Motion unveils 2026 class schedule for training programs

By Puja Mitra | November 14, 2025

Motion Industries Inc. has released the Motion Learning and Development Center’s 2026 class schedule. The training opportunities are intended to support professional development across North American industry.

Motion offers technical training, professional development and Microsoft Office courses through in-person sessions at Motion Learning Centers and partner locations across the U.S., as well as virtual options. The program is designed to help participants build skills and advance their careers through structured, instructor-led instruction.

Open-enrollment classes offer instructor-led, hands-on learning from subject matter experts at locations across the U.S. Many courses also provide a virtual attendance option to support different learning preferences.

The 2026 schedule features three core types of courses:

  • Technical Courses: Includes hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, bearings and power transmission, CNC programming, process pumps, arc flash safety, programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
  • Professional Development: Includes improving leadership skills, communication, time management, conflict resolution and effective teamwork.
  • Microsoft Courses: Includes Outlook Essentials; One Note; tiered levels of Excel and PowerPoint and Word.

Whether attending in person or virtually, participants receive instruction aligned with current industry needs. Motion’s Learning and Development Center at the company’s main campus in Birmingham, Alabama, provides 20,000 square feet of classrooms, labs and other training resources. Hands-on training is also offered in cities across the United States and at in-plant customer locations in North America.

Class registration

Registration is open for all 2026 offerings. Participants can register online at motionind.biz/43jOzJX. A printable PDF of the 2026 schedule is also available for download.

The Motion Learning and Development Center trained more than 20,000 attendees through 435 live classes in the past year. Employees also completed 300,000 online training sessions in 2024. The center offers training assessments, on-site training and custom lab equipment. The program has evolved since it began in 1988 as the Motion Institute.
