Motor feedback systems for servo motors

Kübler motor feedback systems with constant size offer enormous advantages for servo motor manufacturers.

Due to the increasing degree of automation and the ever more dynamic plants and machines, servo motors play an increasingly important role today and in the future. Due to their high performance and compactness, these motors are predestined to meet the requirements for higher dynamics, more efficiency with simultaneously decreasing energy costs and space savings.

With many years of experience in the field of drive technology, Kübler has developed a motor feedback system with added value. With a constant size of only 36 mm, all singleturn and multiturn variants with a resolution of up to 2048 sine/cosine periods or 24 bits can be implemented fully digitally. This enables manufacturers of servo motors to reduce the number of motor variants, standardize the mounting between encoder and motor, and thus benefit from cost savings. RS485, SinCos, and BiSS interfaces are available. A certified SIL2/PLd variant is also available.

The high signal quality is achieved thanks to the phased array sensor technology used, which increases the performance of the servomotor and leads to quiet operation and thus to a reduction in heat. The high-precision Sendix S36 motor feedback system impresses with its high robustness, which is made up of the latest mechanical gear technology, a robust bearing design, a torsion-resistant stator coupling, and reliable connector technology. This means that the new motor feedback system from Kübler can be used reliably in all environments and ensures perfect continuous operation of the servomotor – even in the harshest environments.
