A big trend in conveying equipment is designing the components for easy installation. For example, the Advanced Aluminum Conveyor Stand uses wide-stance leveling pads for better stability, along with a mounting arrangement for leveling adjustment with the pads bolted to the floor. The leveling pad assembly mounts external to the stand leg, rather than a bolt threaded into the leg. This configuration makes visual confirmation of the remaining adjustment thread easy, and allows the leveling-pad assembly to be removed from the leg and replaced, without lifting the stand.
In addition, the leveling pads conform to uneven floors, where a wrench stabilizer on the threaded shank eases adjustment. The threaded shank prevents socket pullout while retaining full swivel capability for the pad. The pad design also allows drilling for, and insertion of, anchor bolts without moving the stand.
“Drop in” stand mounts speed installation and removal of the conveyor on the stand. Held in place by preset position stops, the mounts can be lowered on either side to create a gap for rapid belt replacement.
