Mouser Electronics, Inc. has unveiled a new Communications Application Site on Mouser.com to inform engineers and customers about the different types of applications within the communications sector. The new site gives all customers, in particular design engineers, the resources they need to learn more about new products, components and cutting edge advancements.

The Communications Applications site, available on Mouser.com, includes Optical Line Card, Optical Module and IP Phone subsets, each with detailed block diagrams and easily accessible product links ranging from Amplifiers and AC Adaptors to Voltage Translators and Wireless LANs.

A Featured Products section allows designers to select from a broad portfolio of components and development tools. Each component provides a brief explanation of the device and its importance in an application. Links to additional components are provided where developers can view datasheets and product availability. Products include  the Altera Arria® V Family of Midrange FPGAs, Finisar QSFP+ Gen2 Transceiver Modules, the new Molex zQSFP+ High Speed I/O Connectors and many others, all with easily accessible specifications and features.

The Articles section includes papers written by experts in their fields on relevant topics, including Advances in Data Center Network Technology, End-to-End Fiber Optic Communications, and New Fiber Optic Communications Applications. Each article is complete with diagrams, graphics and charts to further aid design engineers, and includes an area to post comments and questions.

The Resources Section is accessed by manufacturer or topic and includes articles on Circuit Protection, Connectors, High Speed Design Passives and Telecommunications. This allows engineers to easily find application notes useful for their projects. Easily accessible links provide detailed explanations and specifications about products, including videos, educational diagrams, selection guides and system photographs useful to the design engineer.
