Taipei, Taiwan — Moxa announces the entire ioLogik E1200 series of remote Ethernet I/O products have passed Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification. UL certification includes a battery of tests that scrutinize for defects and subject the product to extreme temperature and high voltage. Moxa’s ioLogik E1200 series of remote Ethernet I/O products met all UL criteria, certifying their durability and safety when used in extreme environments.
Moxa has also expanded the ioLogik E1200 family with the addition of four new analog modules that feature a variety of analog I/O combinations to fit specific application requirements. The ioLogik E1200 has a unique design with two embedded switch ports which can form a daisy-chain topology that connects each ioLogik in a series to the next. Compared to traditional Ethernet star networks, a daisy-chain topology reduces implementation costs from wires, switches, and labor. This makes it ideal for distributed data acquisition systems.
ioLogik E1200 products also support Moxa’s Active OPC Server for seamless connections with SCADA systems. Active OPC server can provide instant I/O status reports with “active tags.” This event-driven active tags produce I/O response times that are seven times faster than other OPC server packages, and also reduce network traffic by up to 80%.
