New software from Banner Engineering for IIoT solutions

By Lisa Eitel | December 1, 2018

Banner Engineering now offers Banner Connected Data Solutions cloud software platform for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications. The release of the software platform is the most recent extension of the company’s IIoT offerings. Paired with Banner’s existing wireless and sensor product portfolio, the new software creates a complete, end-to-end IIoT solution—from edge device to cloud.

“Sensors have been the eyes and ears of the factory for decades, but now Industrial IoT allows businesses to remotely access sensor data and use it in more meaningful ways,” said Matt Negaard, Director of IIoT Business Development.

“The Connected Data Solutions platform builds off Banner’s more than 50-year history as a sensor provider and gives us the opportunity to solve the entire problem our customers are facing on the factory floor and beyond.”

The new software allows users to easily and securely transmit data from connected devices to the cloud and immediately use that data to solve everyday challenges—from monitoring the productivity and efficiency of  factory to predicting machine maintenance requirements. Analytics and visualization tools provide actionable insight into operational and machine performance and help users make data-driven decisions.

The Connected Data Solutions Platform enables remote monitoring at any time from an internet-connected Banner gateway. Users can receive instant email or SMS notifications for important alerts, which allows users to save time and costs by diagnosing systems quickly. In addition, users can store and download data for long term analysis to inform process improvements, optimize machine maintenance schedules, and more.
