Chieftek Precision USA miniature linear guides are globally leading technology — as are the manufacturer’s linear motors, direct-drive tables, feedback components, and servo drives.
Most recently, Chieftek introduced the UF-30-09 miniature linear-motor stage. With forces to 6 N and repeatability to ±3 μm, the stage excels in electronics assembly, medical pipetting, and other high-precision applications.
The long-life linear-motor stage works in horizontal or vertical applications — and (thanks to an ultra-flat design) can even be ganged into stacks to operate arrays of multi-header pipetting axes in medical-testing and SMT operations.
The exclusive cpc Will-D series drive supplies 24 to 48 Vdc to the miniature linear-motor stage. Some stage features are customizable.
Another recent release from Chieftek (to complement its lines of 3-mm miniature linear guides and 5-mm miniature linear guides) is an even smaller version — a 2-mm miniature linear guides specifically targeted to medical devices and lab automation.

This is Chieftek’s MRU 2M new miniature linear guide.
MRU 2M series 2-mm miniature linear guides get their name from several key dimensions of 2 mm:
The design compactness of the 2-mm linear guides makes for top power density for high load capacity from a small design footprint. These load capacities are calculated according to ISO 14728. To compare the rating life definition and the load capacities design engineers can use the C50B = 1.26 x C100 equation.
OEMs and end users can source customized linear components from this series — and in fact, slides from Chieftek come in mostly custom lengths … even to many feet long. The manufacturer uses precision cutting and grinding processes on these miniature slides to maintain accuracy.
Design engineers can also select an optional lubrication-storage plate to store oil inside the carriage block; the number of runner blocks (carriages) to ride the linear-guide rail; the number of sections of separate rail to form a given axis; starting and end linear-guide rail mounting hole pitches; various sealing options for carriage end sealing and bottom sealing; an accuracy grade of normal, high, or precision; and a preload value for clearance, standard fit, or light preload.
