Eliminate Backlash
The “C” Series Anti-Backlash Nuts or Compression Style Anti-Backlash Nuts remove the clearance between the threads of a nut and the threads of a leadscrew. The compression spring, which rests on the front nut, applies a force to the ring that transfers the force to the rear nut. This action moves the rear nut away from the front nut, removing backlash between the two nuts. The design compensates for wear while eliminating lock-up issues common when traversing from worn areas to unworn areas of a screw. Using a proprietary blend of self lubricating polyacetal, the nuts operate smoothly throughout the life of the assembly. They also run dry when used with Black IceTM PTFE coated screws. Available in a wide range of diameters and leads.
