The new QM35 and QML35 modular incremental optical encoders from Quantum Devices are high-performance, low-profile modular designed encoders. These encoder models are suited for high volume QEM applications and priced competitively for all size servo motors and other precision motion control positioning systems. Available in 14 standard precision line counts up to 13 bits or 8,192 counts, these QM and QML models are compatible for motor commutation control of 3-phase 4, 6, 8 and 10-pole servo and other precision motors. Both encoder models use a patented lock-n-twist mechanism that simplifies installation, thereby saving production time.
Motor shaft sizes up to 0.375 in. can be easily accommodated. QM and QML models have an operating temperature range from -30 to 115 ˚C. There are two connector schemes; the QM35 uses a 15-pin connector (full compliment output signals), while the QML35 uses a simpler 8-pin arrangement (single ended/TTL).
