BelFuseBel Fuse Inc., a global manufacturer of standard glass and ceramic cartridge fuses including axial leaded board mounted options, announced the expansion of Bel Fuse Circuit Protection square ceramic surface mount quick acting fuse series, Type 0679L. The fully automated 0679L Series will replace Bel’s Type SSQ Series, offering more competitive pricing.

DigiKey ElectronicsBoth, the extremely small 2410 package size and wide range of current rating from 250 mA up to 20 A at 125 VAC/VDC make this quick acting fuse series ideal for space constrained applications such as LCD/LED monitors, notebooks, PC computers and provide board level primary and secondary circuit protection in a wide variety of industrial, medical and other consumer electronic applications, including POE, POE+ and power supply applications.

This version of surface mount devices (SMD) has a ceramic body with silver plated caps and is optimal for applications with operating temperatures of -55°C to +125°C.

The fuses come in tape and reel packaging at either 5000 pieces (12 mm wide tape with 13 inch diameter reel) or 1000 pieces (12 mm wide tape with 7 inch diameter reel) per reel.

The 0679L quick acting fuse is UL (UL/CSA 248-14 standard) component recognized for use in U.S. and Canada. The series is compatible with 260°C, IR (infrared) lead-free solder process, RoHS compliant (with exemption 7a) and halogen-free.
