New wall mounting kit for EVOTEC enclosures

By Lee Teschler | December 6, 2018

Share

A new suspension element for EVOTEC designer table-top enclosures enables them to be wall mounted.

The new wall kit makes tough and ergonomic EVOTEC ideal for access control. Other evotecapplications include measurement and control engineering, IT, medical, laboratory and environmental technology.

Although designed for EVOTEC, the new suspension element will suit any small plastic enclosure with a flat base. Each kit comprises two parts: an adapter attached to the enclosure and a holder fitted to the wall. The adapter (and enclosure) can then be clipped to the wall holder.

The adapter is attached to the base of the enclosure using four tamperproof Torx stainless steel screws (supplied). Four ø 0.14-in boreholes are required. The holder is fitted to the wall using four screws. The holes in the holder allow a degree of adjustment to speed up installation.

Once clipped into place, the adapter (and enclosure) can be easily unclipped again or secured with two screws (supplied), offering additional protection against removal.

Both the adapter (4.17×2.95 in) and the holder are molded from UV-stable ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0). Prices for the EVOTEC enclosures start at $21. The standard color is off-white (RAL 9002). Custom colors are available on request.

Other accessories for EVOTEC include an IP 65 seal and self-tapping screws for installing PCBs.
