Newark expands portfolio of switches and relays to advance product designs

Newark, the Development Distributor, is expanding its range of switches and relays, offering same-day shipping for over 25,000 products and on demand access to over 85,000 products, to further help engineers reduce time to market. Additions include products from EAO, NKK, Omron, and TE Connectivity.

These new additions to the Newark portfolio, supporting industrial applications, transportation equipment, IIoT and communications solutions, include:

  • EAO Series 84 “Halo Illumination” Pushbuttons — A modular pushbutton system of lenses, switch/indicator housings and switching elements are designed for a standard 22.5mm cut out to provide reliability in harsh environments. Featuring attractive flush mounting and IP67 standard sealing, the illumination options add a modern touch to operator controls and are ideal for industrial applications such as industrial machinery, process automation, and medical equipment. Three different styles—halo diffused lenses, units with halo illuminated switch bezels, or an animated illuminated bezel version— allow for chasing LED sequences, multi-color illumination, partial bezel illumination and more.
  • NKK Switches KP02 Series—The NKK KP02 Series is a super bright LED illuminated pushbutton featuring smooth, silent, non-tactile actuation with a shorted stroke of .138” (3.5mm) and a compact profile of only .906” (23mm) high above the PC board. Ideal for use in a variety of control panel applications and features a two pin termination for a simplified footprint. The NKK KP02 Series also has twin contacts with gold plating, to assure impressive reliability exceeding 5 million operations.
  • OMRON IA G2RV Industrial Slim Power Relay—The G2RV series 6A Industrial Slim Relay with LED indicator, clear case and mechanical flag allows for easy and immediate visual operation verification in a wide range of industrial applications. The slim outline saves space in high volume rack and PLC applications, with low power consumption for system energy savings and large plug-in terminals for a reliable connection.
  • TE Connectivity P2 Relay V23079 Signal Relay—The V23079 is a 2-pole Signal Relay with DC coil that is suitable for a wide range of applications such as communications equipment, measurement and control equipment, and medical equipment. The V23079 features high sensitivity for low power consumption and in a slim form factor.

“Switches and relays are integral components, and our customers demand faster shipping so that they can in turn advance their projects and speed time to market,” said Danny Weiss, Senior Product Manager at Newark. “As the Development Distributor, we’ve added new offerings to our already broad range, and ensure same-day shipping is available for tens of thousands of products to enable our customers to efficiently bring their ideas to life.”

Newark’s broad line of switches includes: snap action switches, limit switches, toggle switches, push button switches, rocker switches, tactile, keypads, joy sticks, DIP/SIP, slide, and switch components and accessories, and well as general purpose power relays, time delay relays, signal relays, monitoring relays, automotive relays, solenoids, contactors, accessories, and more.
