NewTek has released the NTC-6000 Qwik-Cal LVDT signal conditioner, which adds digital outputs to existing LVDT sensors. The unit lets facilities connect legacy LVDTs, RVDTs and LVRT half-bridge sensors to digital control systems, automation networks or IIoT platforms without replacing the sensors.

Many analog sensors can be difficult to connect to modern control systems, and older signal conditioners often provide only basic outputs. The NTC-6000 Signal Conditioner converts raw sensor signals into standard outputs such as:
- 4–20 mA loop
- 0–5 V, 0–10 V
- ±5 V, ±10 V
- Digital RS-485 (multi-drop)
These outputs allow legacy sensors to connect to PLCs, SCADA, data acquisition systems and remote monitoring networks. Replacing LVDTs can require mechanical disassembly, rewiring, retesting and requalification. Using the NTC-6000 lets facilities keep existing sensors, which can reduce downtime and cost compared with full sensor replacement.
The NTC-6000 signal conditioner supports multi-drop networking for up to 16 devices and provides analog and digital outputs at the same time. It includes self-diagnostics to detect sensor failures, disconnections and short circuits. The unit also offers cybersecurity lockout and tamper detection.
Older LVDT signal conditioners often require manual trimming and expert adjustment, which can make calibration slow and prone to error. The NTC-6000 uses front-panel null indicators and pushbuttons to set zero and full-scale output positions, which simplifies calibration.
The NTC-6000 is intended for systems that need updated signal conditioning without replacing existing LVDT sensors. Typical applications include factory automation, materials testing, dimensional gaging and turbine control systems.
