Scottsdale, AZ – NKK Switches, the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of innovative electromechanical switching devices today announced the availability of the M2100 series of LED-tipped miniature toggle switches, and the TL series of illuminated standard-size toggle switches. The two series offer engineers an array of highly visible lighted electromechanical toggle switches that display circuit status for multiple applications ranging from hand held devices to front panel interfaces.
The M2100 series of miniature LED-tipped toggles are available in power or logic level rated options. Design engineers can specify SPDT or DPDT maintained circuits with either synchronous or isolated LED circuits. The M2100 includes a high-torque bushing that prevents the actuator from rotating, and an anti-jamming feature to protect contacts from any excessive downward force.
Single pole, power-rated models, with synchronous circuits, are UL Recognized and CSA Certified, and all models feature UL94V-0 rated bases. Power models are rated 6A @ 125V AC or 3A @ 250V AC or 3A @ 30V DC. Terminations available include solder lug, QC, straight PC and right angle PC. The switches are available in red, green, yellow or bicolor red/green LED’s, and are constructed using stainless steel frames to provide protection against corrosion.
The TL series of standard-size, fully-illuminated, translucent colored toggle switches feature brilliant LEDs which are enhanced by polycarbonate translucent toggles that evenly distribute light. Color options include red, green and amber for bright LED configurations, while Super Bright LED configurations are offered in white, green and blue. Power rated models are rated 6A @ 125V AC or 3A @ 250V AC.
Anti-static features in TL series actuators withstand 20 kilovolts of electrostatic discharge and are available in two different actuator lengths of 11.0mm or 17.5mm with solder lug terminations. Constructed with glass fiber reinforced polyamide, the housing and 12mm bushing are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions. The TL series’ interior o-ring protects contacts from contaminants including oil, dust and water and an optional panel-sealed exterior o-ring conforms to IP65 standards.
