SCOTTSDALE, AZ — NKK Switches releases the new JWLW Series of panel seal, high capacity rocker switches, as an expansion of the existing JW rocker series.

JWLW Series of snap-in mounted switches were specifically designed to conform to IP67 rating of IEC60529 standards for panel seal. JWLW rockers are dust-tight and protected against effects of temporary water immersion to 15 cm. The housing and case are constructed with heat resistant resins meeting UL 94V-0 standards and terminals are molded in and epoxy sealed to lock out flux, dust and other contaminants.

In addition, the electrical life of these switches is increased through the uniquely designed contact plate to minimize contact bounce. The prominent external insulating barriers between terminals increases insulation resistance and dielectric strength and the combination solder lug/quick connect terminals help ease assembly.

Design engineers can configure circuits in DPST or DPDT. All single throw models can be ordered with the international inscriptions for ON/OFF and these can be specified in vertical or horizontal orientation to accommodate placement in the panel. Custom legends are also available. Actuators are available in red or black.

JWLW Series switches are rated at 16A @ 125/250V AC, 5A @ 72V DC for telecommunication applications and are cULus recognized. The JWLW Series of switches have a TV-8 rating to handle high inrush current. Mechanical and electrical life is rated at 25,000 operations minimum. Insulation resistance is rated at 1Gohm at 500VDC.
