Dr. Christopher Williams, Assistant Professor and Director of the DREAMS (Design, Research and Education for Additive Manufacturing Systems) Lab, will discuss how additive manufacturing is being used at Virginia Tech in a webinar titled The Future of Manufacturing and Design with Additive Manufacturing.
The presentation will include use-cases and novel applications of both Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) and multi-material PolyJet 3D Printing.
These technologies provide Dr. Williams and his team the capability to blend multiple materials, and thus selectively manipulate product material properties, for innovative design applications including anatomic replication, bio-mimicry, and lightweight cellular materials.
Find out how Stratasys 3D Printers have allowed Virginia Tech to advance student design and research projects, write competitive grants, and teach their students to rethink product design and manufacturing.
