Orbit Electronics Group has announced their entry into the full spectrum of VME-VPX solutions. Among the company’s over 135 standard and customized VME-VPX products are seven System Health Monitors.

Orbit’s System Health Monitors are available in three models and a total of four form factors: Stand-Off Mounted (HMC-A, HMC-B, and HMC-C); VPX 6U (HMC-A, and -B); and VME 6U (HMC-A and -B).

Key features include a unique proprietary GUI; Ethernet; USB and/or RS 232 interfaces; set-up; data logging; field upgradable firmware; and data password protection. They comply with ANSI/VITA 1.0 – VME64; ANSI/VITA 1.1 – VME64X; ANSI/VITA 46 – VPX; and ANSI/VITA 65 – OPEN VPX. Many more advanced features are model-specific. Details on each can be found at http://vmevpx.com/categories/product-type.health-monitors.

According to Orbit Electronics Group president, Ken Ice, “We have been working diligently for over a year to ensure that our VME and VPX products will be among the most advanced of their kind available today. For example, our System Health Monitors provide dramatically expanded graphical user interfaces that enable system design engineers to quickly and easily establish a broad range of operating parameters, and monitor performance with exceptional clarity and detail.”

Vmevpx.com is the brainchild of the Orbit Electronics Group, consisting of Integrated Combat Systems (ICS), Tulip Development Laboratory Inc. (TDL), and Orbit Instrument (OI). All three companies are divisions or subsidiaries of Orbit International. They work closely with Behlman Electronics of the Orbit Power Group, the designer and manufacturer of the record-setting VPXtra™ and VME power supplies.

Orbit International Corp., based in Hauppauge, New York, is involved in the manufacture of customized electronic components and subsystems for military and nonmilitary government applications.
