“Once upon a time, Rockford, Illinois manufactured tons of screws, bolts, and fasteners — earning it the nickname, Screw City.” Now, Packard Fasteners is coming to town.
Threaded fasteners specialist, Packer Fastener, is opening a new branch to serve its Rockford and northern Illinois customers. The new facility, located just north of Rockford, joins a Chicago-area location in Addison, Illinois.
“Once upon a time, Rockford, Illinois, manufactured tons of screws, bolts and fasteners, earning it the nickname ‘Screw City,’” the company stated in a fun new announcement. “Now, Packer Fastener wants to bring back the title, only this time, we’ll have our full product offering of industrial supplies.”
Packer Fasteners just opened a facility in the Eau Claire, WI area last year. It represents the company’s seventh Wisconsin branch. At the time, it also celebrated its 100th employee.
An ISO 9001 certified fastener supplier, Packer Fastener is “driven by an intense customer focus,” serving the needs of commercial contractors and fabricators. Aside from a large selection of fasteners, the company also offers tapes, chemicals and paints, tools and accessories, personal protection equipment, cutting and machining, and more.
The company began in 1998 and has continued to grow ever since. The new location is at 5364 Mainsail Drive in Roscoe, Illionois.
