Pepperl+Fuchs Comtrol and Callisto offer IoT solutions

Pepperl+Fuchs Comtrol, a leading industrial networking and sensor connectivity manufacturer, and Callisto Integration, a leading manufacturing technology Systems Integrator, announced a strategic partnership that will enable manufacturing companies to quickly deploy solutions that deliver visibility and control of their manufacturing operations.

To improve factory floor productivity and output, and reduce downtime, manufacturers require real-time visibility of their manufacturing equipment, people and processes. Installing new hardware achieves nothing unless management can visualize and analyze the various sets of data coming from the production line in meaningful ways, and make decisions to control and optimize production accordingly.

Pepperl+Fuchs Comtrol and Callisto are working together to solve these challenges with complete IoT solutions for manufacturers. Pepperl+Fuchs Comtrol has a rich pedigree in industrial device and sensor connectivity providing edge network OPC UA and MQTT sensor data solutions. Callisto is a Systems Integrator of hardware, software, systems and solutions to manufacturing companies. Both companies also partner with the major providers of IoT and manufacturing automation platforms, resulting in end-to-end solutions, from factory floor hardware through to visualization and control.

Pepperl+Fuchs Comtrol and Callisto work with each manufacturing customer to quickly deliver initial solutions that have immediate tangible results, and then collect more data from more sources, provide more insight and analysis, roll out to more manufacturing lines and plants, and provide a roadmap to a full manufacturing execution system for true automation.

Pepperl+Fuchs Comtrol is producing Edge gateway technology based on IO-Link, digital and analog sensor solutions to provide direct integration to multiple software systems, cloud-based or on-premises. “Customers increasingly depend on immediate data to react to or avoid production downtime. Pepperl+Fuchs Comtrol and Callisto provide immediate sensor data from any manufacturing line to multiple software subscribers. By integrating edge sensor data directly into SCADA, MES and cloud-oriented dashboards, this allows for faster decision making and reactions to live production systems”, says Bradford Beale, Managing Director, Pepperl+Fuchs Comtrol.

“Callisto partners with best-of-breed hardware and software providers to deliver complete solutions to its manufacturing customers”, says Rick Makos, President of Callisto Integration. “Our partnership with Pepperl+Fuchs Comtrol is a great example of how our customers can benefit from the IoT revolution taking place in manufacturing, including all the required software, hardware and integrations, delivered as a turnkey package that quickly delivers tangible results.”
