TWINSBURG, OH — Pepperl+Fuchs is hosting three educational FOUNDATION Fieldbus Segment Design Seminars on July 22, 2009, September 16, 2009 and November 18, 2009 at the company’s state-of-the-art training facility in Houston, TX. These non-commercial training sessions will communicate the basic principles, advantages, and benefits of fieldbus technology and segment design. Using practical examples, communication networks will be designed with FOUNDATION fieldbus, with the design, configuration, and parameterization of a fieldbus segment demonstrated using a hands-on approach.
Each class will cover physical layer constraints, communication constraints, design verification and risk management, including process, startup, and maintenance constraints. At the conclusion of this course, attendees will:
•Understand the basic rules and operation criteria necessary to design a fieldbus segment
•Understand how to properly install a fieldbus network and understand the importance of the physical layer attributes
•Recognize the limitations of digital communication and how proper loop design will improve performance
Classes run from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The registration cost is $350 per person, which includes materials and lunch. Attendees will receive a certificate for Professional Development Hours upon completion of our courses.
FOUNDATION fieldbus technology is the world's leading digital protocol for process automation. It provides end users with the “Freedom to Choose” best-in-class, interoperable control products from their suppliers of choice, and the “Power to Integrate” control systems, subsystems and devices across the plant enterprise. The result is improved plant performance-and greater business results.
Pepperl+Fuchs will be hosting additional process automation seminars at its Houston facility throughout 2009, including:
•The Fundamentals of Intrinsic Safety (Ex) — August 19, 2009
•Purge/Pressurization Enclosure Protection Systems — October 21, 2009
Pepperl+Fuchs utilizes local technical support, hands-on training, real-world application demos, video conferencing, and an experienced and knowledgeable staff that focus on areas where students have specific issues. P+F trainers are an established team of engineers that deliver a professional training program enhanced by years of experience in all areas of process automation. Classes are geared to real-world applications.
The Pepperl+Fuchs training facility is strategically located in Houston, Texas (4321 W. Sam Houston Parkway N, Suite 100) where oil rigs, refineries, and petrochemical companies reign and knowledge of intrinsic safety and explosion protection are crucial.
