PHD, Inc. (www.phdinc.com) offers a number of pneumatic rotary actuators that cater to the needs of various applications. Among them are the RF, RL and RA Series of Pneumatic Rotary Actuators.

Available in 14 mm, 20 mm and 25 mm bore sizes, the Series RF Pneumatic Rotary Actuators offer a standard rotation of 180° while delivering a torque of between 7 and 76 in lb at 100 psi. With its integrated standard angle adjustments, all units are infinitely adjustable from zero to 180° of rotation, offering excellent control and flexibility.

The low profile, compact rotary actuator features urethane shock pads that provide quiet operation as well as end of rotation deceleration with precise repeatability. It also comes with fully adjustable stops, one piece hub and piston assembly.

The Series RL Pneumatic Rotary Actuators, on the other hand, cover a wider range of sizes as they are available from 12 mm to 63 mm bore units. The actuators feature a relatively high torque and are capable of high rotation velocities.

Offered in six standard rotations, the Series RL Pneumatic Rotary Actuators come with built-in shock absorbers that allow smooth deceleration of external loads.

Finally, the Series RA rotary actuator provides precise rotary positioning as it features zero backlash at the ends of rotation. Available in five different sizes and six standard rotations, the actuator also comes with large shafts, rack and bearings. It also delivers high load-stopping capacity, exceptional axial and radial bearing load ratings as well as longer service life.
