PI North America launches PROFIBUS online training course

PI North America, the non-profit member-supported organization for PROFIBUS, PROFINET, IO-Link, and omlox technologies in North America, is excited to launch a brand new PROFIBUS Online Training Course.

This new online course offers a complete PROFIBUS introduction in one structured training. The course prepares students to apply PROFIBUS in their own projects. It includes technical details of the technology and a complete overview of network design, configuration, installation, commissioning, and maintenance for PROFIBUS DP and PROFIBUS PA.

PI North America collaborated with the PROFI Interface Center (PIC), a PROFIBUS and PROFINET International (PI) accredited Training Center, Competence Center, and Test Lab located in North America, to produce this course.

The PROFIBUS Online Training Course is a self-paced course specifically designed for remote learning. Students work on the course lessons independently and can contact instructors via email/phone for related questions.

The PROFIBUS Online Training Couse is not a replacement for the PROFIBUS Certified Network Engineer and Installer Course. For week-long, instructor-led, hands-on training, PROFIBUS Certified Courses are available and highly recommended for those seeking more than just an introduction.
“Our new online course allows us to reach the vast number of professionals working with PROFIBUS worldwide. This initiative also strengthens our commitment towards supporting current and future PROFIBUS installations with educational resources, technical support, and training,” says Nelly Ayllon, Technical Marketing Director at PI North America.

Course highlights:
• Students can receive a certificate for 5 Professional Development Hours (PDH) after completing the course
• The entire course is available online at no-cost
• Challenging quizzes help students test their understanding of the material
• The course includes educational content for end-users, OEMs, system integrators, manufacturers of automation devices, distributors, and students.

The comprehensive PROFIBUS Online Training Course is publicly available on the PI North America website.
