Piab VGS 3040 vacuum gripper system enhance productivity

By Pneumatics Editor | July 13, 2012

Industrial vacuum technology leader Piab (www.piab.com) has introduced a vacuum gripper system that allows users to reduce operating costs while optimizing productivity.

Specifically designed with flexible material handling solutions, the VGS 3040 vacuum gripper system improves reliability, reduces energy consumption and delivers faster response times. It is ideally suited for applications across the production line such as packaging, high-speed pick-and-place, fixture holding, palletizing, glass handling, woodworking handling as well as automobile part and body assembly.

The system employs an integrated COAX cartridge, which eliminates inefficiencies and line loses to optimize speed while positioning vacuum power precisely to where it is needed. The vacuum flow levels rely on the size of the cartridge fitted into the system, while vacuum power levels depend on the type of cartridge used, considering that three different types fit almost any applications.

Piab’s VGS series can be used to improve the efficiency in each step of the manufacturing process. In addition, the VGS 3040 provides even more benefits, including excellent pick-up and system speed, high degree of safety, energy efficiency, reduced risk of leakage and easy dimensioning. In non-porous applications, the seamless combination of AQR 02 (atmospheric quick release) and Vacustat effectively save up to 99 percent of air consumption. Even in huge decentralized vacuum systems, a built-in blow-off check valve enables customers to get a reliable positive pressure blow-off system. The AQR 02 is the fastest automatic quick release function in the world for decentralized vacuum ejector pump. Quick release is important since high speed applications require fast vacuum response.
