Vacuum technology supplier Piab (www.piab.com) has introduced its latest lightweight LC series of compensators to help manufacturers reduce the risk of product damage during handling of sensitive goods while speeding up production processes.
Offering a lightweight alternative to traditional steel-based products, the new level compensators or spring plungers feature a unique aluminum design that effectively reducing the weight of vacuum handling devices. This allows users to conveniently move the vacuum systems, optimizing production capacity.
Aside from compensating for height differences, the LC series reduce the risk of damage to highly sensitive products by ensuring that suction cups are placed gently on objects, reducing the need for exact cup positioning.
Ideal for handling sheets of plastic, glass, wood and metal as well as other sensitive goods or packages, the compensators offer extra-long stroke lengths than other conventional solutions. The compensators are also fitted with vibration and shock absorbers in order to protect components in vacuum handling systems.
To enhance flexibility, the LC series perfectly works with the company’s extensive range of fittings as well as its modular piGRIP suction cups. Featuring a non-rotational design, the LC level compensators can also be used with both round and oval suction cups.
“Minimized risk of product damage, increased productivity and flexibility across a range of applications are all key factors for manufacturers to consider when selecting production components,” remarked Josef Karbassi, Vice President Marketing and Communication at Piab.
“With the launch of the new lightweight series of level compensators, we are able to simultaneously address these market requirements, ultimately helping our customers to reduce costs and increase capacity.”
Piab’s LC series is available in 16 different level compensators with various stroke lengths, sizes and connection fittings.
