Power over Ethernet Port for Rugged Environments

Fully waterproof 4-port data and power extender can operate up to four IEEE802.3af-compliant powered devices from a single Ethernet cable. Designated the POE61S-4AF, the extender takes its power from an ultra-power midspan (75 W or greater) and has an IP67 rating for outdoor applications. The extender detects 12.5 K Internal Signature Resistance and must be powered by Ultra PoE (75 W) or better. The unit has an output of 15.4 W maximum per port and provides 10Mb/100Mb Base-T data rates. An output of 15 W allows for a drop of 2.45 W in power loss over cables that may extend up to 100 meters from the extender.

Three ports on the front may connect to standard ¾ NPT conduit piping or the manufacturer’s. Using outdoor compliant Cat5 Ethernet cables, you may power up to four applications such as security cameras up to 200 m from the network switch without the need for external AC power to be installed. The POE61S-4AF may be placed up to 100 m from the network switch and allows for an additional 100 m of cable to be laid between the unit and the powered devices without any additional power outlets or dc cabling required.
