Drift can commonly occur in pressure transmitters operating in a high shock and vibration environment. TE Connectivity hammer union pressure transmitters address this issue by using a thick Inconel™ 718 diaphragm and silicon strain gages to increase survivability and long-term performance.
“The unique design of the Hammer Union Pressure Transmitter allows it to work in harsh environments with immunity to shock and vibration,” notes Karmjit Sidhu, TE Connectivity, Director of Business Development, Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Marine Applications. “Similar devices are not very durable and often fail or tend to drift.”
The TE Connectivity Hammer Union Pressure Transmitter has been lab tested for high shock and vibration resistance, with testing up to 1000G. Units are also field tested units on- and offshore shore in the most extreme ambient conditions.
