Optis, a provider of light simulation solutions, and Noesis Solutions announced the interoperability of their respective CATIA V5-integrated solutions, Optis Speos CAAV5 and PLM Optimization CAAV5.

These interoperable programs let you create a stronger visual appearance and color of the lighting systems you design. You will have greater access to tolerance and evaluation capabilities that will also assist in your lighting design.

 

The combined Speos CAAV5 and PLM Optimization CAAV5 lets you enhance the light distribution of the views of your design. On the left is a first iteration where the numbers are hard to read. The right side shows the effects of more uniform light distribution.

 

Through automatic optimisation features, the software finds the best concentration of green plastic for the screen behind the red glass to obtain a white that will comply with required standards.

The SPEOS CAAV5 based software detects which of the numerous parameters should be adjusted to achieve the desired results. You will be able to explore more options in greater depth for color, contrast level, light uniformity, intensity, information legibility, reduction of the number of light sources, and perceived quality.
