PROLINE® Overlapping Doors Feature an Industry-Leading One-Handle Design

Pentair Technical Products announces an enhanced single-handle design for Hoffman PROLINE® Overlapping Doors. The overlapping doors feature a master door to ensure a dust-tight seal with a three-point roller latch system operated by a PROLINE flush-swing handle. The innovative design now delivers sufficient compression with the single external handle, eliminating the two internal handles to significantly improve ease-of-use while maintaining the UL Type 12 rating. Doors are available as an optional PROLINE component or as a standard feature of the PROLINE Industrial Packages.

PROLINE® Overlapping Doors with a single handle.

The overlapping master/adjacent door design allows unobstructed access to components housed in versatile PROLINE Industrial Enclosures, which house electrical and electronic equipment in industrial, local area networking and telecommunications applications. The master door is hinged on the right side and delivers a tight seal for full protection from dirt, dust, moisture, oil and other contaminants. The robust doors feature a rugged 14-gauge mild steel construction and are finished with RAL 7035 textured light-gray polyester powder paint. A removable door bar is also included on each door.

PROLINE Overlapping Doors are available in traditional 1200 mm and 1600 mm widths, as well as new 800 mm and 1000 mm widths. The new sizes provide reduced door opening radiuses, delivering an ideal solution for applications with limited aisle space.

“PROLINE enclosures consist of a rugged frame that protects equipment as well as customer-selected tops, bases, covers, sides and doors, providing a customizable solution to suit a broad range of application requirements,” said Garrett Potvin, Product Manager. “The addition of the overlapping doors with a single handle—available standard on our industrial packages or as a PROLINE component—further expands this diverse offering, allowing quicker and easier access to components while still delivering a tight seal and a UL Type 12 rating.”

PROLINE Industrial Packages are fully featured, ready-to-use enclosure solutions that eliminate the need to order each component separately. For convenience, a single part number includes a frame, solid front door, solid rear cover, solid top, a gland plate, lifting eyes and a full subpanel. Side covers are ordered separately.
