Salt Lake City, UT — QSI Corporation announced it has been acquired by Beijer Electronics. Beijer Electronics is a publicly traded company out of Malmo, Sweden with offices in sixteen countries around the world. Their HMI Products business area is best known for their iX Software platform and their reliable line of HMI terminals.
QSI Corporation will be known as Beijer Electronics, Inc., and become the North American subsidiary of Beijer Electronics. The company will continue to offer its rugged line of terminals in both the industrial and vehicle markets along with Beijer Electronics’ hardware and software.
“With the acquisition of QSI Corporation we get a strong local presence in North America which is a strategically important market for Beijer Electronics. Among other positive things, we see great potential with the extended product portfolio designed for demanding environments and for mobile applications,” says Magnus Ekerot, Business Area Director of HMI Products.
